Terms of use.

Last updated October 30, 2026

Draft. These terms describe how nublock and Ndex work today, in plain language. They should be reviewed by a lawyer before nublock takes on paying customers or institutional agreements.

1. What nublock provides

nublock operates Ndex, a tool that indexes publicly available academic information published by colleges and universities (catalogs, degree checksheets, policies, and similar pages) and makes it available to AI apps (Claude, ChatGPT and others) through an MCP connector, so the AI you use can look it up and cite the source page. Ndex also computes audits and plans from courses your AI sends it.

2. Ndex is not official advice

Ndex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any school. What Ndex returns can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, and your AI app can misread it. Always confirm anything that affects your enrollment, degree progress, or finances with the source page and with your school’s advising staff. You are responsible for decisions you make based on Ndex.

3. Access

Ndex is free and open, with no account. Don’t use it to scrape, resell, or overload the service. We can change or withdraw access at any time.

4. Content

The academic content Ndex draws on belongs to the schools that published it. nublock claims no ownership of it. Our own software, design, and text are ours.

5. No warranty; limitation of liability

Ndex is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, nublock is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service.

6. Changes

We’ll update these terms as the product changes and post the date at the top of this page.
